General Management Group Research Support Implementation Plan (FY 2022)

Outline

1. We hold General Management Meeting once or twice a year to discuss the following matters.
   1. Considering measures to solve the problems identified by the external evaluation committee, etc.
   2. Coordination with each platform and each support organization.
   3. Understanding and giving advice on the actual situation of support through the coordinator, and resolving issues related to support considering the characteristics of each region
   4. Public relations such as public symposiums and examination of measures to expand users.
   5. Ensuring user convenience through a one-stop service.
   6. Examination of support methods and system development across institutions.
   7. Ensuring the sustainability and development of support (Holding Future review meeting once or twice a year).
2. We carry out activities to build cooperation with each platform about twice a year.
3. We will work on cooperation between regions by coordinators, cooperation with other organizations and platforms in each region to expanding the number of support and users through them.
4. We will hold briefing sessions and achievement symposiums once a year, as well as carry out activities to inform the content of support and the results of support.
   1. In order to contribute to the substantiation of the overall research funded by KAKENHI and promote “Support” not only for cutting-edge research but also for various needs, we will further enhance the support details introduction site on our website, the committee channel on YouTube as to be able to approach more researchers. In addition, we will continue to ask their opinions and demands in the questionnaire.
   2. Achievement symposium will be held to confirm the achievements of past efforts and will widely inform the researcher’s community of the effectiveness of our support. Through holding the symposium on webinar, we will consider new ways to contribute to support activities in future life science research.
   3. We will hold symposiums and seminars for citizens and continue to foster understanding of research and research support that is supported by the people and contributes to the people.
      (Technical training session and workshop are excluded from the plan as they will be held on each platform.)
